Washington, D.C. — The Opportunity Solutions Project (OSP) commends Tennessee lawmakers for their commitment to the patient-focused, free-market health care reforms included in the CARE plan, specifically those focused on increasing price transparency.

OSP is encouraged by the inclusion of Right to Shop legislation in the CARE plan, which will increase price transparency for consumers and empower patients.

“The CARE plan, and specifically the inclusion of Representative Robin Smith’s Tennessee Right to Shop Act, will move Tennessee one step closer towards a health care system that is focused on empowering patients and controlling costs,” said Josh Archambault, senior fellow at OSP. “Lawmakers should be commended for their commitment to reform the health care system so that it will work for all Tennesseans.”
