5 Welfare Reforms New Hampshire Voters Want

Opportunity Solutions Project conducted a poll of 736 likely New Hampshire voters in July 2016. Results concluded that New Hampshire voters want welfare reforms – specifically five key pieces.

84% of all voters want to preserve resources for the truly needy by checking eligibility for individuals on welfare more frequently with better technology, 84% support work requirements for food stamps, 63% are in favor of returning welfare eligibility back to traditional federal income levels, 87% approve of blocking the use of taxpayer-funded welfare benefits in places of vice, and 81% support checking welfare applicants financial assets to preserve limited resources for the truly needy.
